This year so far has been something else. Something from another planet, another world. I have not done well avoiding all of the negativity on Facebook. People are upset over politics. Joe Biden is running for President against Donald Trump, and he now has women from the past coming forward to challenge the #metoo movement. All of the women in the #metoo movement are not as vocal with the newest female’s allegations. It is interesting to me how this highlights the sheer hypocrisy of the earlier movement with people like Alyssa Milano who stated that every woman should be heard and Joe Biden in an earlier Democratic debate that all candidates should be transparent. I suspect he’s already now released a statement about this whole allegation because the goal of all of it is to get Trump out of office. Seriously I believe that.

I did not vote for Trump. I did not vote for Hillary, and likely in November I will go third party again. I just don’t like the government not trusting its own citizens to make their own decisions. I believe the media wants us to believe that each of us are incapable of doing the right thing. I am not sure how everything will shake out but I want the world to be like it used to be. I miss gathering with people.
Today, I am doing a bible study on Esther that I missed with my ladies’ bible study. Esther was courageous. Esther was an orphan raised by her cousin Mordecai and taken to the palace of King Xerxes to complete to be the queen of Persia. She won the king’s affections and was chosen for the royal position of queen.
One of the famous quotes people use is Esther 4:14 “for such a time as this.”
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this
Esther 4:14
We are all called to take risks, to trust in His sovereignty, and to remain faithful “for such a time as this.” Haman’s goals were to destroy the Jews. In the end, Haman received the fate he had planned for Esther’s cousin. Esther was brave. Praying and fasting was also mentioned. Don’t ever forget the power of praying and fasting.
On the front of what’s going on with my husband, the local physicians want to explore biopsy with a spot near the clavicle. Truly, I believe it’s a waste of time and money, but I’ll be proved right when the results come back. After the meeting with the doctor from Vanderbilt a couple of weeks ago, my fears were minimized. That and praying and faith. Amazing what praying for faith will do. So, perhaps will go forward with it just to let them realize that the PET scan was worthless because he rode 50 miles on a bike the day before. And, he ate carbs.
We are going a little stir-crazy here. We were supposed to go to St. Thomas early April. It was canceled. We are supposed to go to Switzerland in July. It’s canceled. I just pray pray pray that summer camp is open this summer because I don’t think I’m getting enough work and activity done to build my business. I really care a lot about all my clients and want to do a good job for them. The best job I can, in fact. I can’t do that if kids are home from school and summer camp is unavailable. I suppose we will be looking for a nanny at that point. My son is 12. I just wish he were a little bit more responsible.
