We attend church locally and today’s message is just this. I love it when a person or group gets to the bottom of it all. Or the top of it all… Jesus.
- There is Boldness in the name of Jesus. – Acts 4:5-6. ”Filled with the spirit.” The boldness given to Peter was obvious. Today’s culture wants us to keep our faith to ourselves, but Jesus is as real to me as my own family. Jesus saved me. He rescued me. Be bold for Jesus in 2024. Be courageous for Jesus.
- There is answered prayer in Jesus name. verses 9-10. We don’t get anything from God in our own name; we do in Jesus’ name. We have not because we ask not. Why don’t more Christians seek the Lord in prayer. John 14:15. The purpose is to glorify the Father for His greatest good. This one really hits home with losing a mentor to me last July. Perhaps her lack of healing on this side of glory was fulfilled in heaven and her leaving glorifies the Father more. I really miss her, and I think about her most days still. I know here family misses her even more. I can’t imagine their pain.
- There is Victory in Jesus name. We aren’t praying to some dead person, this is the savior! Acts 4:10-11. Jesus is the Cornerstone. Your marriage, family, and work needs to be built on Jesus.
- There is salvation in Jesus name. Acts 4:12. There is no other name in which we can be saved. Today it’s not popular to say that Jesus is the only way. I had a family member ask me once how do you know that Jesus is the only way? The Hindu or the Buddhist? They believe just as you do… There is only one perfect one. That is Jesus.
How do we make 2024 all about Jesus:
- Make 2024 all about Jesus. Spend time with Jesus. Bible Reading Plan. Make a goal to read the whole bible. SOAP – scripture, observations, applications, pray.
- Join a small group
- Find a place of service
- Give
